The Junior League of Peoria's Frolic with the Fairies Event is a celebration that honors special relationships among family and friends. The memories that you make at this special event will last a lifetime!
This success of the event with the support of the community, has allowed the Frolic with the Fairies Tea to become the largest fundraiser of the year for the Junior League of Peoria.
It is the mission of the Junior League of Peoria to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women and improve our community. We do this through the effective action of our trained volunteers. Our approach is to identify a need in our community and to develop a project to address that need. When our project is up and running successfully, we work to transition the effort to a community partner. Over the last 75 years, the Junior League has established more than 50 community projects. Working together, our members have made a significant impact on Peoria and that impact can be seen today in many organizations and efforts, including the Sterling Merit Awards, Race for the Cure, Dress for Success and Family House, to name just a few.
The Junior League of Peoria's largest project to date, the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum opened in Summer 2015. Our strategic focus is on changing the lives of children through education and we addressed one of Peoria’s greatest needs head-on. The Peoria PlayHouse is an interactive children’s museum located in the Glen Oak Pavilion, which will prepare every young child to learn by offering the hands-on experiences essential for healthy brain development.
Our Current Projects Include: - Kids in the Kitchen - Frolic with the Fairies - Superhero Saturday - Community Now. Several "done in a day" projects through the year
